Watch the second video in this series: Anterior Implants: Facial Root Prominence
As a second conversation about facial prominence we look at the facial inclination of the incisors when we treatment plan anterior implant sites. The more inclined the upper incisors, the higher the risk of creating shadowing on the gingival one-third, and free gingival margins that cast a grey or bluish color. The resorption lingually of the buccal of the alveolar ridge exacerbates this risk. In this video we will discuss evaluating the risk, and then how we strive to manage it to optimize the esthetics.
