The Difference Between Carbide and Diamond Burs

For most of us we follow the process we learned in dental school as to what burs we use for varying procedures. The most common protocol is to use carbide burs for direct restorations and diamond burs for indirects. There is a difference in how the two types of burs remove tooth structure, and therefore what they are effective and efficient at doing. In this video we will look at the difference and how it impacts your procedures.
