Formulas a great way to figure things out, including the dynamics of how your team works together. E-R=C is a formula I use in my office to look at the interpersonal relationships. E stands for expectations. R stand for Reality. C stands for conflict. It's a basic human construct that when Reality does not meet expectations conflict or negative emotions is the outcome. This formula has been a true gift to me over the years as a way to analyze when conflict occurs in the office, and to move through it and help the team grow and work together again.
