In this last video on JAMSS, jaw joint and muscle sprain and strain, I will discuss the last 2 letters of the SAFE protocol "F" and "E". "F" is for follow-up. Part of your protocol is figuring out a specific intentional way to follow-up with patients who are at higher risk of developing JAMSS. They can be added to your post-op call list and given written instructions on what to look out for. The "E" is for evaluate and refers to making sure we get people in who call with any symptoms of JAMSS and do an evaluation. The faster we treat these patients the less likely they are to have long term issues.
