In this second part of my series on JAMSS, jaw joint and muscle sprain and strain, I will discuss the SAFE protocol. "S" is for set-up. Putting the pieces in place to be set-up to prevent and treat JAMSS in your office means having everything to make this happen. The first thing your team needs is information, so setting aside the time to educate them on JAMSS and create your office systems is an important step. You will also needs to the tools and equipment to implement a JAMSS protocol and we will go voer the things you need in inventory.
