In recent years we have raised the percentage of our dental hygiene services that are using the periodontal codes from 10-30%. I recently sat down with my hygiene team and asked them what factors they thought were responsible for the improvement in our perio numbers. The answers ranged from certain CE programs they had attended to equipment and systems that helped with patient awareness and delivery of care. In this video I will walk through the list of things we have implemented, and the feedback from my hygiene team about what worked and what was less impactful.
