Many of us think about alginate as our go to material for diagnostic impressions. Alginate handled properly can be a very accurate material but does present some logistics challenges. Putty Wash diagnostic impressions seem harder at first thought, but solve all of the logistic issues of alginate and can be easy and accurate. In this webinar we will look at a very easy, less time consuming technique for capturing putty wash impressions that can be accomplished by one person.
Putty wash impressions do not have to be poured immediately to ensure accuracy and can be easily transported or shipped to the lab. Putty wash impressions also allow you to pour multiple models over a very long time period without subjecting the patient to new impressions and additional chair time. Creating an easy storage system for the impressions, facebow and bite records increases our record keeping and the ability to easily get another set of models.
