One of the hardest types of cases to treat is a patient with a severely worn dentition. There are technical challenges, and often we are opening vertical dimension. One of the ways over the years I have mastered these types of cases is to do the case for the first time in direct composite. I utilize an overlay technique from a wax-up. I use clear, cure-through silicone matrices and direct composite to build up the crown on every tooth. In this video, I will show how I utilize the matrix and a technique I created for ensuring that the matrix is seated and stable.
