The Right Seat On The Bus

12.02.18 | by Nada Albatish 8 Comments

So my favorite thing each day is the clinical dentistry, but like all business owners today I had to manage a team issue. I recently hired a new clinical assistant and she has been with us several months. Today she showed up and her head was not in the game and it prompted a difficult conversation that ended up with her going home for a few days so we could both regroup. The time allowed me to realize that I really like her, but she may not be in the right role, or as author Jim Collins says , "she isn't in the right seat on the bus".
