Asking for help can be difficult. Everyone on a dental team works hard and has tasks to accomplish. We want to collaborate with others to provide the best possible service to our patients, but sometimes we need help to get the job done.
Sometimes we feel uncomfortable asking for help. Sometimes others feel uncomfortable being asked to help. They don’t want to say no, but saying yes may not be the best use of their time.
There is another answer, other than “yes” or “no”
“Yes, if . . . .” is often an appropriate answer that helps all parties prioritize tasks and requests.
